About Ana Nikibin

Registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Ana has experience working in the mental health field, including the disability sector, psychiatric settings in private mental health hospitals, as well as working with children providing behaviour supports.

Her clinical experience includes working in the areas of anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, grief, trauma and substance abuse.

Ana provides evidence-based treatments which are widely accepted around the world to treat a wide range of mental health concerns.

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying problem behaviours and thoughts that can lead to symptoms of depression and anxiety. CBT is generally considered a short-term treatment and is proven to be effective for many types of mental health issues

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach that comes from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Its core message is to accept what is out of your personal control and commit to action that improves and enriches your life.

Dialactical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive behaviour therapy. It was designed for individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or those who have difficulties with regulating or controlling their emotions.

Teenagers

Aged 13-17 years

Navigating through the teenage years can be challenging for some.

Understanding friendship groups, family relationships, school and health can be overwhelming and lead to mental health concerns. Psychological support can equip teenagers with the skills needed to regulate and manage their emotions and move through life more successfully.

Adults

Over 18 years

Ana offers individual psychological support for adults over 18 years of age, who are experiencing a range of concerns and life stressors.

You will receive support with understanding and improving your mental health and develop skills to better manage stressors in life.

Services are available through Medicare, NDIS, Workers Compensation

Psychology services are available via numerous funding streams and options.

Medicare

Workers Compensation:
As part of the workers compensation scheme, you may be entitled to psychological treatment in relation to your injury. If you obtain a Workcover or Comcare medical certificate from your treating doctor with a recommendation that you see a psychologist, you can contact Ana to receive these services at no cost to you.

NDIS:
Support is available for those with funding for psychological intervention in their NDIS plan.

Psychological support is available to those with a NDIS plan. If you have funding in your plan for psychology supports and your funds are either “Self Managed” or “Plan Managed”, you are eligible to receive services from Ana.

With Medicare

out of pocket, for 10 claimable sessions

Under Medicare, you are entitled to 10 claimable sessions per calendar year.

The rebate amount under Medicare is $96.65. This is applicable if you obtain a mental health care plan from your GP.
